what's the story behind this pic??

I tried blowing one of the small thumbnails up a bit:

The pic was originally in Metal Forces, a European metal magazine around 1984. Lemmy guested a number of times for Hawkwind during this period, even joining them on a couple of dates on their Earth Ritual Tour and playing on 'Night Of The Hawks'. Nik Turner was persona non grata in Hawkwind at the time but had his own band, which morphed its name and members a lot. I am ready to be corrected here but I think the picture was taken at a Nik Turner's All Stars gig but do not know the location. Can anyone else help?

The make-up is not a great look for Lemmy but he did it before with Hawkwind around 1973, so it was by no means his first or last flirtation with cosmetics. He certainly entered into the spirit of things. I remember with Motorhead at ECT back in 1985, the TV studio gave him a 'scar' and some dark make-up around the eyes for the studio lights, which made him look as if he had a 10-day hangover!

Last year I said to some people that my belief is that Motorhead will probobly end in 2015 and they will make farewell tour on this "40 years of Motorhead". Because almost 10 years ago some people from Motorhead tour crew (I think I saw that on Stagefright dvd bonus disc but Im not shore) and Campbell said something similar in some interviews if Im remember right.. Of course, they cant be shore, I cant be shore, noone cant be shore what will happen. The second thing what I said to those people is that I believe after Motorhead, Lemmy will end up playing with head cat to the rest of his life and Phil and Mikkey will make some new band together or they will have some solo stuff. One of those three I was right, i this interview Lemmy say he will end up with Head Cat. One of three assumptions Bingo! Now will se about those other two assumptions. Im so proud of my self . Like real Blackadder.
