Acetate is a test pressing from the pressing plant to the record label or band.

So they can give the plant an ok to proceed with the pressing.

That´s why the acetates are so hard to get a hold on, they are often pressed in 1 to 10 copies only and comes with a plain white or record label cover.

Does anybody have any idea how much the illustrated collectors guide to Motorhead is really worth? Someone on amazon is trying to sell one for $129.00.
I would like to get one but I'm not sure if that's the right price or not.
