If someone want to hear all from Motorhead than i suggest from the start to the end. Or "best of" with "overkill" "bomber" and "aos". Or "motorizer" "inferno" "kiss of death" etc... But I can not imagine to make for example "best of" of songs from "motorizer" "on parole" "another perfect day" for example, because those periods as we all know are totally different. It would be mess for some new fan.

It depends on how it's organized, if you do it so that it doesn't widly change between periods then it'd be alright, otherwise it's a complete dog's dinner. As long as they keep the tracks in some form of order then variation is good, it just comes down to the choice of the company making the compliation in question.

i wasn't comparing these bands with Motorhead (they don't even come close to Motorhead-the only one for me that does is Metallica with Cliff, RIP and even they are a long way from them).
The point i was trying to make was that for non fanatics (unlike anyone on here)of any band i think an Official Best Of album is a good place to start.My son is 8 years old and i would rather buy him a best of (whatever band he chooses) than just pick an album and i think that is the case for teenagers(or whoever) that are into "metal" but want to listen to some of the stuff that the likes of me where listening to 20-25 years ago.Its just a good place to start i think.
Me comparing maiden and the likes to Motorhead-no no never.To be honest apart from Iron Maiden the album i think most of their stuff is shit-don't shoot me down though ,its just my opinion

kf07, if this is right you are a dead set fuckin legend!...im pissed MH didnt come to OZ on the Motorizer tour as they were here in 2005 and again in 2007, so i thought 2009 would be a goer, but this is great.Iron Maiden in Feb and potentially MH in Sydney in April!

im not sure of the dates as they are supposed to be doing the US tour in Jan so they must be only touring theUS for a month and a bit then head straight down to Australia.If they are tourin the US they must be playing the main/capital cities....not doing a huge US assault.
