It might be so that it doesn't exist any excellent sound recording either. They might have used the video as an audio source. Besides it wouldn't be the first time crap has been released. If I listen to my No remorse (#CLACD 121) they obviously used a vinyl for making that CD. You can hear the ending of the previous track (of the original album) before the real one begins. Crackles and bad sound through the whole thing...

Nah, but it's not so difficult to make your own that way. I've done it with the E.L.T.E.E Dvd and the Stagefright one. I listen to 'em often.

I do them as just one track. That way you don't get sound breaks in the concert when listening on Ipod or whatever.

I listen to them often too, as well as Black Sabbath at radio city hall but ripping sound from a DVD can be done lossless, recording from an analogue source demands much better equipment if you want high quality result.

how do you do it then? do i need special equipment or computer programmes?

Recording from an analogue source has to be done on the fly, plug in the recordplayer (if that's the source) in the line in on the computers soundcard and record it with i.e. Soundforge. Remember to use a RIIA amp if the recordplayer doesn't have one built in.

I can't remember which program I used for ripping DVD sounds, but there are tons of them available, google is the answer to that.

Been re-listening to Iron Fist this week. Better than I remember. Songs are pretty much all fairly strong but the production does let it down. Sounds like a very poor quality recording in general. Kind of lifeless.

Strong enough songs though.
