i must admit i don't really see the point in doing a cover-/tribute-band (especially if the original band is still around and constantly touring). personally, i prefer covers that add something new to a song (like for example "hayseed dixie" doing AoS or the brass-version i posted a while ago).

but nevermind, i'm just an old man - guess it's fun to see the band at a show, that's always different (and usually much better) than watching a video...

I see your point and I'm agree in some way, but if you couldn't afford to see the real Gods in live, you are very grateful to see these guys. In my opinion they are one of the best tribute bands.
