Yeah .... this is too bad !
I remember a concert in Groningen (Holland) in 1997 (Overnight Sensation tour) were I was. After 45 mins someone throw a beer at Lemmy`s bass guitar. Lemmy warned the crowd serveral times that they had to stop throwing things at the stage. One asshole kept throwing beer and right after that happens, they stopt playing, in the middle of the the song "Orgasmatron". They left stage without saying anything. Just like that. A few minutes later they came back on stage, and Lemmy spoke these words:
No more! No more, or I`m off. We`re here in the light on stage and you`re hiding there in the dark. You think thats cool, but you`re pussies
They started playing "Orgasmatron" again, but only 4 minutes later a second beer hits Lemmy`s face, and that was it. OFF .... and they didn`t came back.
After the show Lemmy had tears in his eyes that this was happened, a tour manager from mojo concerts said.
Next day the headlines in the newspaper were:
"Even Motörhead has limits"
"Singer/Bassplayer Lemmy left stage with tears in his eyes"
"Motörhead stops concert in Groningen"
The first time they were in Groningen was in 1991 and the second time in Groningen was this concert in 1997.
I Think they NEVER come back here in Groningen again.
From what I heard afterwards was that the guy who did it was beaten up by some REAL fans.
