I know the bass player for Slash's band, Todd Kerns. He plays with the Sin City Sinners based here outta Vegas.

Makes me laugh because Lem played bass on the song itself, and you'd think they'd let him play bass on it live, it gives the song its low end edge on the album and live it would have sounded great.

He probably did't have time to (or didn't want to) "re-learn" the bass parts for the song. It's probably been a while since he recorded it and his head is already full of other bass lines.
