As I think about it, I feel like America doesn't exactly get Motörhead at their best, and that they save their better, longer performances for European shows. Just adds to my belief if it's true that Mikkey is really going to be taking part in a program in Sweden while his band is on tour here.

At the same time, I also feel that Motörhead isn't as appreciated here in the U.S. as they are in Europe...so while it sucks for a huge fan like me (not to brag), I guess I can understand why Motörhead makes the choices I'm assuming they make.

It's all just my opinion.

Well Europe is quite a key area of Motorhead's popularity, fans, SPV label promotion (In the past) etc. Mikkey doing something for a few of the US shows isn't really a big deal, you gotta do what you gotta do.

9.) Motorhead: After being kicked out of his first band Hawkwind in 1975, bassist and singer Lemmy Kilmister formed the group Motorhead with guitarist 'Fast' Eddie Clarke, and drummer Lucas Fox. Known for considering themselves a 'rock n roll' band, their influence on the speed and thrash metal bands of the eighties cannot be denied. Touring with everybody from Blue Oyster Cult to Morbid Angel, a Motorhead show is almost guaranteed to give you whiplash from the amount of head banging you're going to do. Singer and soul of the band Lemmy, who will be turning 64 this December, still has the vigor of a young man when he steps up to his microphone, which he usually has hoisted above his head so he has to sing up into it. Lemmy has been the only consistent member of the band going through constant lineup changes throughout the years, the current roster includes Phil Campbell on guitar and Mikkey Dee on drums. Watching Motorhead is best in a club atmosphere, but catch them live any way you can because you do not want to miss out on one of the world's most legendary metal bands in action while you still can.

Motorhead is currently on tour right now in support of their new album 'Motorizer' with Reverend Horton Heat and Nashville Pussy, they have no dates scheduled for Western Pennsylvania.

Imagine back in 1989 telling someone that Samantha Fox would one day marry another woman, (possibly in Siberia no less) and that Lemmy would give her away.

Well, it's happening. Samantha Fox plans on marrying her long time partner/manager Myra Stratton.

Fox, told OK! magazine: "I'll tell you who's definitely coming - Lemmy from Motörhead. We might get him to give me away, and we might get Liz Mitchell from BONEY M to do the ceremony - she's a pastor now."

"Motörizer", the latest album from MOTÖRHEAD, sold a little more than 6,400 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 82 on The Billboard 200 chart. The follow-up to 2006's "Kiss of Death" was recorded in part (drums only) at FOO FIGHTERS frontman/ex-NIRVANA drummer Dave Grohl's Studio 606 in Northridge, California with producer Cameron Webb, who also worked on "Kiss of Death" and 2004's "Inferno".
