It's probably one of the last decent rock and metal mag left in England aside from Classic Rock. I mean yeah Slipknot and Bullet for my Valentine get in but they keep that in check, unlike the now once great Kerrang.
I've not bought an issue of Metal Hammer since they said St. Anger was the new sound of metal and gave it a great review. At least Terrorizer told the truth and said it was shite.
Metal Hammer and Kerrang are both sad shadows of what they were years ago.

Yes but it has to be said that Metal Hammer is closer to what metal mags used to be than Kerrang is now, Metal Hammer would have to fuck up in spectacular fashion to be anywhere near Kerrangs poor status.
I haven't bought Kerrang since probably the mid 90's so I can't comment. I used to have a pile of them, AC/DC covers, WASP covers, all sorts of great stuff. But it turned into a right piece of shit.
