If that is true it seems like very bad marketing. The songs from the "limited" version will be out there for everyone to download before they even have a chance to buy a CD.

The limited version could leak if the version in the magazine is sold seperately, but otherwise it would be hard to leak. In Motorhead's case the CD may not contain any bonus tracks at all yet as I haven't seen anything supporting this.

The Slash version is a good example to the no leak theory, it didn't hit download sites until the magazine hit the shops, and I haven't seen many magazine boxes go missing from warehouses before their release.

I don't think its literally the 'only way to buy' the new album, its one of those marketing phrases... 'if you only watch one film', 'its the only one you need' etc....
there'll be other forms of the album.

It said "... the only way to buy the album *this year*". I read that as saying a regular release will come out in 2011, but a lot of people will have downloaded leaked copies of the "exclusive" version by that time. Of course, I hope my reading is wrong and yours is correct.

Great that there is more info on the Cd and of course the new magazine. Bad news for me though, my mum found out about the album and insisted on buying it for me so shes pre ordered it, so that meens i dont get it til Xmas, lucky for me u tube was invented so I hear it way before Santa arrives! Can't boody wait to get my hands on the Cd and the mag!!

I wonder if that Classic Rock magazine will feature a piece by Geoff Barton going on about himself as if he's more important/interesting than the actual rock stars?
Classic Rock is a good read, but it's full of old rockers that seem to think they were somehow as important as the bands they wrote about.

Damn sight better than Krrang though...

I'd rather read what Barton writes than read that Kerrap, at least he's playing for the right side even if he is a little egotistical sometimes.
