Do you guys know chords just by name or do you have to have tabs?

So if I said EDE----)x6 G D A,which would be the verse music to Iron Fist,does that work for most?
If so...I can write down the music for Iron Fist no worries.

Well I don't know for sure, but I really doubt that Eddie played the song with chords. It's like this "learn to play Motörhead" DVD. Certainly a way to play it, but not the "right one".

If anyone knows a video where it is possible to see what Eddie played - let us know!

Well Iron fist is a mixture of riffs and chords.

The ED section is the riff,played on the 7th and 5th fret of the A string
After the chrous the same pattern is played on the D string 7tha nd 5th fret
the GDA on the end of each riff pattern are chords.
Short chord G,bar chord bar chord

Chrous FC GD )x2

Eddie did use a lot of short chord rather than bar chords

Thats right Nigel (i type with my guitar sat on my knee hehe)

the Chorus seems to be F-C-G-D-F-C-G-D

Last G-D should be played on the 10th Fret of both the A and E strings
