One thing that amazes me about Lemmy is how he's managed to keep his Marshall's like Murder One and Freightshaker working, because their actually 6 string guitar amps. weather Lemmy has his tech's modify the valves, or re bias em, or re wire em i'll never know. They do have amazing build quality as their good old amps, but they must have been repaired a few times with constant blowouts.

Lem does NOT USE GUITAR AMPS. I do apologize in advance for my state of mind. Please forgive me.

Lem does NOT USE GUITAR AMPS. He plays thru old Super Bass 2 JMPS. Everyone knows he runs 4x12s and 4x15s. Up to 1982 he played thru "Marsha" and "Arsall".

Thank you for your patience.

Super Bass II's are guitar amps, Malcolm Young used to use em in the early days of AC/DC. Even one of Lem's techs confirmed on stage fright that Lem uses guitars amps. Lem never liked bass amps as they wernt clear enough to project his idea of bass. Trust me i used a mates once with a bass and it sounded so much like Lemmy it was unbelieveable. and the Cabs are definatly 4x12 and 4x15.

Hm, don't get distracted by Malcolm Young using one, a lot of guitarists used to play thru bass amps (infact, the first Marshall amps were based on the design of the Fender Bassman). Plus, Tim Butcher himself has said (on this board I'm not sure, but on the old one definetely) that Lem has never used guitar amps.

Even the name is a giveaway - Super Bass, as oppossed to Super Lead, the gutiar amp.

Folks, this is a thread for musicians, not for Motörhead equipment!

Besides that:
The Super Bass is a bass amp, but almost identical to the old Super Lead. There are only minor differences in the circuit. The Super Bass has a treble cap, IIRC.
There is no reason not to use a Super Bass for guitar playing, as well as I sometimes play bass over my JCM 900 (which clearly is a guitar amp. Sounds cool, anyway).

After listening for over 30 years, searching and waiting for alternatives, I understood that there will be no other band like Motörhead. Never.
