BC Rich are good, but from my experiences with their guitars you have to either spend a good bit to get something of value or spend a lot of time upgrading a cheaper model.

Never liked B.C Richs, they feel and sound cheap to me, sure the expensive models are good, but for value instruments they just don't cut it. Same with Fender for me, I think they all feel cheap and poorly made nowadays. I used to own a pre-mexican US Squier from 1989, that was a well-made guitar, but since then all squiers and sub-£1000 Fenders feel awful to me. I know its opinion, but there's my two cents

I don't play, but my late brother was quite amazing on guitar. I just thought the BC Rich's were cool looking. I won a Squier Strat in an Anvil contest. I was excited to sell it, but could only get $100 for it! Nice looking guitar, but apparently not very good!
