Been doing research on these 'Abstract' people...
Reviews for the Eric Clapton package: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Eric-Clapton-Slowhand-Book-4dvd/dp/0956695957
At Abstract's website (http://www.abstractsoundspublishing.com/index.html), all packages say: 'This book and DVD set contains no musical performances or compositions by 'the artist'.
It doesn't look official or promissing frown

Just picked some random reviews for 2 different packages.
Not looking good..

Thin Lizzy:
'On ordering this i thought it was something new, unfortunately it's only the packaging and the 4th DVD that are new. The first 3 DVDs are a re-release of earlier material that appeared on JUST ONE DVD. You would think that with 4 DVDs there would be several hours of viewing, unfortunately again the four DVDs only run to around two hours. The lesson i've learnt from this is not to pre-order product before a review has been published (i pre-ordered without any info being available).'

Eric Clapton:
'Couldn't agree with 'electricparade' more. This product is absolute garbage. One DVD crammed into four with repeated (and I mean repeated ad nauseam) shots of VU needles flickering, recording tapes revolving, mixer desks, a drum kit and some black and white shots of someone allegedly playing a Goldtop. The back ground music is repetative non-Clapton peurile elevator music. Not one genuine Clapton note is heard. Those contributing- Peter Brown, Chris George, Tony Dolan, Nick Tauber, Stephen Dale Petit, Les Davidson, Paul Sutcliffe, Reuben Archer, Steven Rosen and Chris (you must be hard up)Welch. Who are they??? Some couldn't string words together to make a phrase let alone a meaningful sentence. The hardback book endorses "essential reading and viewing for Clapton fans everywhere" symbolises exactly what it is not. Dont waste your money. Rather than send mine back for some other poor soul to get a 'used' copy of, I'd rather burn it (on EC's birthday). Didn't bother to read the book - the DVD was enough to set the quality. Just remember the company name Abstract Sounds Books Ltd and beware - never again!.'

Hello All, this is a long shot, however, here it goes...
I'm looking for a book that was published anywhere between 1983 - 1987. It's a soft back, almost magazine like, fairly thin book of images of a particular motorhead open air concert. I seem to remember that the cover was mainly yellow (I could be wrong about that).
The reason I'm after the book is that it has a photo in it of a, now gone, (RIP) friend of mine that was been escorted from the concert by two policemen.
I think the caption read somethin like "a damaged fan is helped out of the concert" something like that anyway, actully he was been arrested! but there yer gan. Obviously I don't know the title of this book or I would have mentioned that. I'm sure that it was a sort of pictorial guide to the concert, or, just to add further confusion, peraps a tour.
Any help in this search would be much appriciated or if you think you have the book I'm after and are prepared to sell plaese get in touch.
Thanks all

Thats a blast from the past. I remember the photo. Can't recall what book / mag it was in. I will look to see if I've got it.
open air gigs that come to mind around early 80's would be Port Vale, Hackney and Wrexham.

There's a picture like that in the Motorhead book by Alan Burridge(babylon books). The caption says "the 2 faces of Lorah Norder helping wrecked Motorhead fan into the concert at Port Vale"
Though it might not be the one your on about as the book isn't that thin or yellow.
I would scan it and put the picture up for you to see but i dont have a scanner. Its on the same page as" Motorhead tracks on compilation albums"-there are no page numbers.
Maybe someone can put it up for you.Good Luck

Thanks Trev and leedsmark, the Lorah Norder caption sounds like the very one! have you got an adsn number of the book? and i'll have a look at it. I have looked for this for years, I was in my twenties (now 50) when I first seen it so my memory of the details are sketchy, it was in a local book shop but I could not afford it at the time.
Thanks again for the quick and helpful response.
