sorry if the question seems silly but it really interests me. his body is build up and all, which would be incompatible with his way of life...

On the contrary, his way of life keeps him fit. He does a two hour work out most nights. Having done a few myself,it makes you strong or it knocks you flat.
Singing the way he does is very good for the lungs, stomach muscles back muscles etc... Even the angle of his mic ensures he has good posture and strong back muscles, add to that the weight of a ricky slung round your shoulder for two hours (Great workout for shoulders and arms),it's a good set up for keeping you in good shape. Added to that each night is a shirt soaking sweat, like a sauna, sweats toxins out of the body like nothing else.

Probably very hot under the stage lights as well.
I think the fact that Lemmy has never stopped playing live is ultimately what keeps him going. He really is a remarkable man.

The onstage workout notwithstanding, sex is also great exercise and Lemmy gets plenty of that!;-)

He also sounds very lucid and witty in interviews. We all know that Lemmy drinks a lot but he think he knows how far he can push himself.

I think the travelling , the standing and singing for hours all the time is in itself a very good workout singing is very good for the body and then there is also the bottle and glass raising counting the days til Plymouth now.........

Actually one of the best quotes that I heard about how exhausting just performing is came from Gwen Stefani where she said that she sometimes gets so exhausted on stage that she feels like throwing up.

In recent years he's starting to really age. His neck is curving a bit (the actual neck is getting shorter/hunched look). His legs look strange these days and in general he seems to have lost some height and muscle tone. Not surprising for a man approaching 67 years old.

what? he just said he is getting older, he didn't say that he is in bad shape for his age
and it's true, compare stage fright to the later footages, his age is showing much more effect in last few yers. if someone loves motorhead, it doesn't mean he can't point to some facts that are quite obvious but not something to glorify. lemmy got older, so what, we can't talk about it? No! you fucking can't... for one, its all personal insults and physical deterioration. It comes to us all. For another, anyone who really love Motorhead are forever grateful that they continue to tour. So what would you have Lemmy do? curl up in a corner and die? No, fuck off, show respect and leave things be!

yes we all get old and he got. so how the hell is that insult?
for another we are all grateful for tour because we all know how old is he, and you know it too.
and in the end, YOU can fuck off because noone was insulting lemmy here. stop being blind fanboy because telling someone has aged has nothing to do with respect.
forums are for discsions, not for roleplaying of some goddamn rock crusader on the internet. it's not my fault that you have a need to bitch about fact that man got older, and fact that people notice it. yes he is older - i see it, you see it, we all see it. so what? you even said by yourself that it comes to all of us. should i play dumb to make you feel pleasent. what will heapen when lemmy is gone some day, you will ask yourself how did he die so young?
i love lemmy as everyone else on forum, but man is getting older, shows are getting shorter and people are not blind, it's not insulting, it's fact. and noone insulted lemmy's look, stop twisting words around. if you already have a need to use them, use them as they are spoken in that case.

I guess the answer is that he does not work out in the conventional go to the gym and do a bunch of repetitive boring exercises- and by the way no offence to those who do - but he probably gets quite a good aerobic workout from going up on stage and sticking it to us two nights on one night off because of, as he puts it, 'my advanced years'! He said it- not me! I am not sure I would have the energy to do what he does and he has 22 years on me!

All 20 shows with Anthrax and Diary of a hero..... Ludwigsburg was pretty special for many reasons but side of stage was incredible....Not deaf yet and if i had the money i would be in Slovenia tommorow no doubt...Newcastle was great as well....scared for life by Mr Campbell's monitor.... GREAT, doing 20 times Motörhead !!! Did you enjoy the Motörhead gig in Eindhoven? Too bad you missed Mikkey Dee jamming afterwards in cafe The Rambler in Eindhoven (or were you there and I didn't saw you ??????) Anyway ..... seeing Motörhead 20 times in a short period I bet you have enough great and unforgettable moments/memories. Cheers and Rock n Roll .....

i was in slovenia, it was good but short, 14 songs, they didn't play dr rock
later my ticket signed by lemmy got stolen and my battery on phone dropped dead when i was to take picture with mikkey, so he signed me some envelope where i was keeping my train ticket. phil went last and pretty much didn't give shit for fans.
t shirts were sold out so in the end i got only mikkey's signed drum stick and his autograph after the show
all that shit after show left bitter taste in my mouth, so i have mixed feelings for that show Serves you right... for telling me to fuck off, ha ha.

Hey Motorsmell,
I took a look at your other sites and your photos and I recognised you, I saw you at Brixton. I was hanging around at the back hoping to catch Lemmy and the guys for a signature or maybe a pic.
Pretty hardcore what you've done mate, I admire that.

Cheers chaps....I do indeed have many tales of the road and all will be revealed in due course....Eindhoven was a great show and a great town we spent 2 very drunken nights there...it wont be the last full tour for me anyways gonna try for at least another 20 next year....theres no place I would rather be than "screaming with the crowd"..... You certainly know how to have real fun mate, keep up.

you really are two faced prick aren't you - can tell to others to fuck off, but bitch around when you get it back Nah, Motorajzd, I am the nicest guy I have ever met. Seriously though, I did,'t like the personal nature of the comments made about Lemmy (you didn't make them).. and I said it very clearly. Maybe those people would be happier on the Oprah Winfrey forum?

Lemmy has slowed up noticeably on stage. But he's an old man and it's great he's still out there touring.
I notice his left hand shakes while he is playing, even when the fingers are clamped on the fretboard.

I notice his left hand shakes while he is playing, even when the fingers are clamped on the fretboard. That could be from where he was hit by a thrown blade on stage some years ago. It cut his hand and gave him shakes in that hand.

Well, considering Lemmy's lifestyle and habits he does pretty damn well. I certainly wouldn't do most of the things he does, but then I've never had the fun he's had. Good on ya, Uncle Lemmy.

Once I saw an interview in which Lemmy said he didn't like exercise or sport, so I rate he ain't much of a bodybuilder but I think he's just to hardcore to wind up unfit. Rock keeps ya young.
