....that I'm not the only one who found Dave Grohl very annoying and that he was in the movie way too much.
I felt he made his points about how much he worships Lemmy in the first segment or two with him and I felt that was enough Dave.
Other than that I love the movie.

It was the Billy Bob Thornton interview I didn't like. Shame we didn't get more from ex band mates IMO. The Eddie interview was great. Bit more Lemmy in the kitchen would have been good too, or does the man really just survive on chips, JD and speed?

I agree with you on that...I mean, another guy I forgot to mention...
NIKKI SIXX....Exactly WHAT did he add to the movie?
Lemmy doing a few songs with Eddie and Philty wouldve been cool...

Short explanation for it Nigel:
LFDO is British, 51% - 49% is American.

If you don't get the short version of the explanation, you won't understand the long either.

It's a pure media plugg for the fans of other bands. How many times has Lemmy been in docs for Ozzy. But are the Ozzy fans going to complain that Lemmy is in them all the time. If your a Lemmy fan, you'll want to see it for him alone. It works and the Metallica part of the disc was great. The jam backstage leading up to the live performance. I'm not a massive DG fan but his story about Little Richard was amusing. They didn't have to film the kids in the school, but it was a cool piece. AOS on the piano with the odd bum note, it was a laugh. I still love the classic album dvd of AOS. That was well put together and Philthy is a pure clown 'Do you want to see my knob'.

Yeah LFDO is probably my favourite as well...It gives more of an insight to the bands life on the road and seemed more natural...

LFDO was primarily about the band with bits of Lem's history as he's the centre-point of the band historically speaking, whereas 'Lemmy' was, obviously, just about Lemmy. When your focussing on a band you do it in a number of ways; you can focus on just the band on a day to day routine (i.e. onstage, backstage, days off ect) or include talking heads like members of other bands, famous fans and so on, but when you're focussed on one person you tend to include other people as just filming that person doing whatever gets a bit dull.

I can't say that anything really annoyed me. I liked the Billy Bob segment as it contrasts the two of them showing the big divide between the money Billy Bob makes and the money Lemmy makes.

LFDO was also quite good as it shows some things about Lemmy's lifestyle (strippers and drugs for example) that are only barely covered on the Lemmy disks.

Has anyone compared the DVD to the Bluray? I hear that there is more stuff on the bluray.
