Boogeyman is a fantastic song, one of my favourites.

Definitely! Some really nice typical Wurzel stuff, he composed wonderful MH Songs. Can't understand, why the Wurzel era mostly is called the weakest. Ok, 'Rock'n'Roll' isn't my favorit MH Album, but for example '1916' and 'Bastards' (especially that one) are full of very beautiful, harmoniously and varied songs.

1916 and Bastards are 2 of the bands greatest albums for me. Overall though the Wurzel era was a mixed bag, with the highs of those two, along with Orgasmatron and the superb four-some from No remorse, but also including the somewhat dissapointing Rock n Roll and the downright poor March or Die.

I think Rock n roll is a good album-there's some great songs on there-rock n roll, traitor, stone deaf in the usa, boogeyman to think of a few.Yeah good album for me.
March or die is one of the weaker ones but still has some great songs-stand,you better run,bad religion and cat scratch fever.

Rock'n'Roll for me is truly one of the best Motorhead songs that symbolizes why the group was formed, why it stood out above the others and why is it still on top ... Not Heavy Metal but the hardest possible Rock'n'Roll ...

Rock n Roll does have some very good songs on, like the title track and Boogeyman, but overall it's a dissapointment for me. I had very high hopes after No Remorse gave us a glimpse of how good the new 4 piece was going to be. Then along came Orgasmatron and all my hopes were realised. After this Rock n Roll just felt like a step backwards to me. Definitely not the bands worst effort (that would come soon enough though), but albums like 1916, Orgasmatron, Bastards and Sacrifice (drummer aside all from the same era) really leave it in the shade. If they'd made Just Cause You Got The Power an album track, or Cradle to the Grave for that Matter, it would have definitely helped

As for March or Die. the only Motorhead album I actually struggle to listen to. Some average stuff, that maybe sounds better than it is as it's sat next to some pretty poor efforts by the band. And Cat Scratch Fever, probably in my top 5 most disliked cover versions ever. Megadeth's Anarchy in the UK is no. 1 if you were wondering.
