Hi all,

I'm a bass player, vocalist and sound engineer. I founded a band called Shrak! in may 2011. We are... 3 (what a surprise!) and we love to play rock'n'roll in a Motörhead style.
Please welcome to our myspace page :

www.myspace.com/myshrak

I hope you'll like the songs.

For my bass sound I use a modified 4001 Rickenbaker (I replace the original mics by a big and powerful hum-bucker with active electronics), I play with a guitar amp, not bass amp. Don't need to buy the expensive Marshall 92 Lem signature amp head. I prefer 2x15 cabinet rather than 4x10 or 4x12.
For the guitars a fabulous Mesa Boogie Rectifier feeding a 4x12 Orange cabinet. Sounds like earthquake. For drums sounds the usual tricks : lots of compression on everything and a strong parallel comp (in fact a limiter on that bus) for BD and snare. Shake it a million times and that's it wink

@ MotorSmell
Thanks. Sometimes I use amp head like Laney LV300, and most of the time I use a Eleven Rack plugged onto a PA amp feeding the cabinet.

Well mate, I agree that the 1992LEM is overpriced. I've bought mine in the UK and the price was high, but acceptable. I also own the fitting 4x12 cabinet.

The sound is unique and believe me, NOTHING sounds like this combination. Nothing comes even close.

Hi all You fellow- musicians and Motörheadbangers! Greetings from Helsinki Finland!

I myself started playing guitar when I got AC/DC´s "Who Made Who" back in 1988, 8 years old. A Year later, I got my hands on "Iron Fist" and that changed my life. Now, after over 20 years of playing, the only band in my opinion with totally unique playing style and sound is Motörhead. I founded my own recent band, Dogtor in 2010 by putting out EP called "Fire At Will". Now this week, we publish our debut album "Dogtor´s Order". Motörhead - my lifestyle - is the greatest influence. Don´t want to advertise too much here, but I´d appreciate if U guys checked a couple of our songs up: www.soundcloud.com/dogtor
