I'am sure Justice will prevail and AoS will be the overwelming champion There will be some tough opposition in later rounds, but as far as great songs go I would be disappointed if it didn't make the top four.

It deserves the recognition. Should be number one, but probably won't be..
I'd be the first to say "Motorhead are SO much more than this overplayed song can encapsulate" but, I cannot deny that it is THE song, that for me and so many others, turned me on to the "Motorhead sound".
Hell, I remember buying the single from bloody Woolworths when it came out and playing it (& dirty love) to death on a bloody crappy old mono stereo like some crazy mantra that would deliver me from all the teenage crap I was going through at the time and to be honest, it did.
That song is a Behemoth.
We all as fans, get sick of hearing it, but I reckon there are few of us here that really have anything other than a massive admiration for it. It's not just nostalgia, it's a song that gets it all right. Start to finish. It's just we wanna hear some of the other great stuff they never play instead.
It's been on million Metal/Rock compilations, but I doubt there are any tracks on those albums you could honestly say deserve the status it should get.
Unlike Led Zep's "Stairway to Kevin" I cannot bring myself to ever skip it on a Cd. Why? Because as much as I hate to say it, it's CLASSIC Motorhead. Sounds great, whatever the line up.
Lem himself has, from what I can gather a love/hate relationship with it, having sung the "8 of spades" on at least one tour LOL.
You can't blame him though. If I'd made umpteen stonking songs since creating that classic, I'd be pissed off playing it and having people keep harping on about it 32 years on. However, it still kicks ass harder than a turbo charged rabbit who hasn't had it in years...
Gets my vote.

Gets my vote too. But this song is only there because it was the most played at radios. The song that got me to like Motorhead more was On Parole and old friends always talked about Overkill, Vibrator, Iron Horse, Iron Fist, Over The Top, Orgasmatron and Bomber, and not much at all about AOS. As Toast mentioned Led Zep, Stairway to Heaven does bore me, but, Rock N Roll, Black Dog amongst a few others are so good and powerful being almost as good as Motorhead.

It's really sad that AoS is almost in a 50/50 tie with Welcome to the Jungle.....what is wrong with the people voting Probably most of voters are 11 years old...

you guys need realize that G'n'R were a huge comercial success around the world... MTV played them a lot... pop radios played them a lot... Ace of Spaded wasn´t ... It was limited to a hard rock public... is very different. I have no doubt that GnR will win, unfortunatelly.

Brazil for example isn´t an example for rock. This fuc**** country likes only shi* music, as samba, pagode, axe, "carioca" funk (the worst of them) a derivation nothing to do with American funk and now the big hit " ai se eu te pego" something like " If i catch you" by Michel Telo ... so all this people who like this sh*t, and hate r'n'r, if you ask who were GnR they will know... and will says love them... because few hits...

Motorhead is intellectual and musical quality. GNR is like Britney Spears, teenagers childish crap. More quality less audience. Less quality bigger audience. That's how it is. People are (human race) very stupid, like Lemmy said, and they don't understand music, or they don't care about music much, or they have very bad taste. You have all of this, mixed. Motorhead is art and that's total different level of music. Today I saw in Larry Wallis booklet of his cd a concert poster which say "Pink Fairies and Motorhead". How people don't know anything about music or Motorhead is this proof, they don't talk about Motorhead and Pink Fairies or Hawkwind, they put Motorhead together with childish teenager bands like GNR, Maiden or Metallica... and Motorhead had in past much more with Hawkwind or Pink Fairies than with those teenager bands ever. And I think Motorhead is much more with style closer with Pink Fairies and Hawkwind than with those teenager bands ever. Of course I think on early years of Motorhead. Thats why we should, like Lemmy, insist for Motorhead like rnr band to disconnect Motorhead from those teenager bands and put them in what they really are, rnr band like Lemmy say, made from style Hawkwind - Pink Fairies, from Overkill they got their own style of rock and roll.

Just cast my vote Motorhead are leading but only by a hair 50.21 against 49.79 I would dearly love em to beat GnR but I do agree Marco GnR were a huge commercial success and for that it just might work in there favor.

Oh Marco I feel your pain... I remember on my old days, when 89 Radio Rock still played some Motorhead, Led Zeppelin, Marcelo Nova, Sepultura, Ratos De Porao and some stuff like that. Before I left the country, TV and Radio were promoting real shit music, apart from the ones you mentioned, there was also gay pop, reality TV singers, sertanejo, bosta nova, MPB, rap... totally hopeless! Same here in England nowadays, there's no much space for rock music on radios or TV. Rihanna, an american shit singer (who should not even being known in this country) is on the top of our charts!!! I have just voted again?! I managed voting twice?! Try voting again folks, from other computer or smartphone. That's probably how the kids are voting for the other bands anyway.
