im glad the clash are getting a mention as i find um boring to say the least

Metallica St Anger. To this day I have no idea what possessed me to buy it after reading all the negativity from fans. I can honestly say I don't think I've listened to the cd all the way through even once.

As for AC/DC, Fly could have been a reasonable album if the production wasn't so shitty. Their worst album has to be Stiff Upper Lip. Couple of half decent tracks at best, backed up by an album that's browner than it's own sleeve. Dull doesn't begin to describe it.

Incredibly over-rated band.

Agreed on St. Anger. It's bloody terrible. I borrowed a work colleague's (he thought it was great) copy soon after it's release. Got about half way through it and handed it back to him the next day.

Like i said, i haven't played 'Fly' for many years, but on first listening, remember thinking "Brian sound's like he's singing in the shower".

'Stiff Upper Lip'? yep, it's VERY uninspired.

clash are a fucking incredible band some of the best music of the best music of the past 35 years.........

Clash are like Marmite thing, love it or hate it.
Good band, creative music but as it's classified as punk rock, it loses all its appeal when I compare them to other punk bands.
It bores me, there are some pop, 'regga', slow, influence, it sounds a bit like tv commerial music to me (I mean, compared to other punk). The other day I put that Clash album and 4 songs later I was annoyed and had to stick The Drones in to comfort my soul with something that suits me more.
However, Clash is considered one of the best punk rock bands ever, they are know all over the planet and so on so... Marmite effect

boring to me, just as sex pistols - boring. im not trying to put down their quality, status or influence, but i really don't find anything that could hold me with those bands, i tried but it doesn't work. ain't my cup of tea

now when i mentioned sex pistols....i usually don't like covers more than originals, but good save the queen by MH, Anarchy by megadeth and no feelings by overkill are all so much superior to originals, i think pistols lack of energy
