ive tried to see lemmy at stage door for last few years with no success. does he still meet fans and sign, pose for pics at stage door. or does the various vip /meet and greets rule this out#?

I had an aftershow pass when Lemmy put me on the guestlist but because of the retarded staff at the venue I didn't get to see him (or even thank him). There was someone without a pass that was telling me and the staff that he loved the band and wanted to meet Lemmy - he didn't get to see him either.

If you have an aftershow pass you would probably not have trouble meeting him. Without a pass you would have to catch him going to the venue or leaving. I'm not sure if he would pose for a picture if you caught him as he was entering the venue. If you were a pretty girl or if you had a pretty girl with you, you would have more luck.

Hang around before as many gigs as possible and talk to the crew...but get there early i spent 9 hours in the snow to get a pass sorted for the next gig but that was the other end of the country....dedication is the key to success!

last year at newcastle i went to the venue at 11.00am (i work 10 minutes away), and took an A4 sized "The world is Ours" promo photo which i printed off the internet on glossy paper, and as soon as i got there phil was just getting off the bus to go in, he signed my photo "to simon, best wishes, phil campbell".
2 minutes later mikkey come out and added his autograph. only lemmy left then!
i hung around the tour bus and sure enough, about 20 minutes later the door opened and there stood lemmy. he signed my photo and even let me get a quick photo with him (thanks to Alan Hungerford for this-a diamond geezer who will be missed!). just to point out though, that lemmy didnt go in the stage door as phil and mikkey did, he went in the door directly opposite the tour bus, which was at the other end of the city hall, he took the shortest route from the bus into the venue.
so, within about 30 minutes of getting there, it was that quick, i had my photo fully signed and a photo with lemmy. i couldnt believe my luck, and my signed photo is now framed and hung on the wall...my pride possession.

get there early and hang around, mikkey and phil were in and out during the afternoon, but i think that once lemmy is in, hes in till after the show.

good luck.

When I was at the show last year I noticed the tour bus was there (It's usually just a regular tour bus that one might not notice driving by it) but there was a white limousine there as well. I'm not exactly sure why or for whom the limo was for but I'm guessing that perhaps Lemmy uses it for interviews during the day and girls during the evening.

Yes. Being nice and chatting with the crew is probably a good way to meet him. I spotted many crew members that I've seen on the DVDs while I was there and they started packing everything up at the end of the show. It took between 2 or 3 hours to get everything into the trucks. Try to remember their names (if you know who they are from magazines or the DVDs). Saying hi and knowing their name would help as well.

I was lucky enough to meet him in the Marquee club in London at a gig by Quo spin -off Jphn Coghlan's Diesel. I'd got there early and was 2nd person in an otherwise empty bar when doors opened. I bravely offered to buy Lem a drink, which he graciosuly accepted, spoke briefly about the 84 tour and Killed by death video and the upcoming 10th anniversary Hammersmith shows, the bar started filling and my mate turned up and about 10mins later, in front of my mate and a fairly full bar, Lemmy got himself another and said "and get that geezer a drink!". 27 years and I can still remember every second! cheers

I´ve met Lemmy several times, first time was in 1985 in Ängelholm, then at the next two shows I saw on that tour in 1985. This month 25 yrs ago Lemmy let me and my mate ride on their tour bus from Cambridge to London and after that I´ve met him a couple of times.
I recommend hanging out around the bus cause they´ll have to get off and on that bus!!! Lemmy for one surely knows the value of his fans! And for the record, I met Leonard Cohen two months ago in Copenhagen and spoke with him and took 2 photos and had an autograph, this was after breakfast at his hotel (we lived at the same hotel). Leonard is 78 yrs old. Performs a show that last for nearly 4 hours every concert! THAT is respect!!!
