vortexx enthusiast Registered: 03/26/12 Posts: 222	The official Lemmy Rickenbackers that were released quite a while ago are one of the Holy Grails both for Motorhead fans and for Rickenbacker collectors. They also happen to be what is likely the highest increase in value for any guitar or bass from that period. I found a dealer that had one in his inventory. After doing some research, he found out how valuable it had become. He knew it would be somewhat valuable but had no idea of quite how valuable it now is. There are some lucky guys on one of the Rickenbacker forums that bought them for under $2,000. when they came out.

I went to their site and although the guitars look decent, I probably wouldn't buy one as it's not much different, feature wise, from many other guitars out there. If Phil actually gets a signature model where he chooses the features, it may be worth getting but so far they are only saying that he currently plays guitars by this company. I only own a couple of signature guitars (If you don't include Les Pauls). I have a Tony Iommi "old boy" built by the same guy that built Tony's in the 1970s (it's the guitar where the finish of it looks like it bubbled and got melted off in parts) I think my guitar is number 14 or 17 meaning there are very few out there. I have a celebrity owned guitar (from someone who I promised not to name) and I think I have one more but I can't think of it right now. Snaggletöoth Pooh-Bah Registered: 07/26/08 Posts: 2103 Loc: Lincolnshire, England	There are reasons for that onstage, mostly about using certain guitars for certain songs based on what pickups they use, how good they are for playing at higher tempos, how the neck is setup and so on. Advertising for musicians is a little different. Usually artists advertise one guitar brand (Usually the main one whose products they use most often), strings, amps and so on, but that's usually it. Phil's one of the few people who advertises for so many different companies. _________________________ MHB2980
