I saw an update in the breaking news section today for a Universal box-set. This is another repackaging of 6 studio albums - Overkill, Bomber, Ace Of Spades, Hammersmith, Iron Fist and Another Perfect Day. I followed the link to http://www.music-news.com/shownews.asp?H...p;nItemID=52180 and left my comment there on the third attempt. I didn't curse but certainly felt like it. Okay, it's an 'Introduction' to Motorhead but do we really need ANOTHER. This just seems a cynical cash-in again. I would hope the band get royalties and I'm sure Philthy could certainly use them right now, but I hoped there would be something new and worthwhile. This doesn't seem to be it. Any thoughts, guys?

"Through varying line-up changes and more ups and downs than a spin on the Whacky Goldmine, Motrhead have released some of the most influential heavy metal rock 'n' roll known to any sub-human, and in doing so, have been widely regarded as spawning the illegitimate genre that became known as 'speed metal'.
Now six of the band's best albums are being released all in one box. They are original masters, housed in gate-fold replica wallets with original artwork - a perfect introduction to one of the greatest Metal bands in the world"

I don't know if I should feel insulted or happy after reading the above.

It's nice that they've re-released the singles, but that price is just insane. A much smaller, simpler box would've been just as good, and it would've probably been a damnsight cheaper.
