You guys are right, I saw some signed stuff and 'rare' patches and stuff like that going for a lot of money on ebay however some of those didn't sell and they keep re-listing. I'm glad I'm not a collector on these days...

Your so right, its fashionable to be a Motorhead fan these days and of course to be seen wearing a Motorhead t-shirt. It got to the point where I only wear my Motorhead shirts when I'm seeing them now!

I think the whole collecting thing has changed in the last few years, there are more bands releasing cool vinyl pressings, box sets and different kinds of packages and more people are seeing what this sort of stuff can sell for and that has filtered down to bands like Motorhead and now their stuff is going for insane prices as I think people except it only to ever go up in price and will just be able to cash in and sell it in a year or so for double what they paid!

I know that if I had to pay the current going rate for the Motorhead and Iron Maiden stuff I have got in my collection I would not be able to afford it and frankly I would not be willing to pay it even I did have the money!

I see that a lot as well, if it does not sell people keep re-listing and eventually some idiot will buy!!!

Motorhead have had lots of TV exposure in the last year or so, but I think another thing that is helping is the Lemmy documentary. In many ways they seem more popular than before, except perhaps when the Ace of Spades album came out. In many ways though, what is happening is good for the band. They (mostly) get a lot of respect from the media these days which never happened in the past. I think they should be headlining many of the shows they are doing at festivals though as currently they are generally more popular than the other bands they are playing with.

Agreed, they are as popular now as ever which is great for the band and us if that means more shows and albums.

The only downside is that there is more competition for their collectable stuff!

If badges are going for the money they are imagine what items like test pressings and some of their other rare stuff will be going for!
