Something I never realized until recently... When Motorhead created the Bomber light rig, it was way ahead of it's time. Almost no groups had anything spectacular like that except maybe Pink Floyd... When I saw them in 1982 when they first brought the Bomber to North America, there weren't really groups that had anything like that (except, as I said perhaps Pink Floyd). Most concerts by other groups were pretty basic, usually just a band playing on the stage, with maybe some smoke and some explosion effects on the stage. Motorhead probably didn't have a ton of money at the time so spending a ton of money staging something this elaborate was really cool.
