I like Mickey on drums. I used to play professionally and was quite accomplished, but I could never double-kick like he does. He is the perfect drummer for Motorhead!

Speaking of Phil ... Anyone know how he tends to twiddle settings on his amps? (I gather he's using JVM410s at present, but anyway ....)

he seems to mix amps quite wildly. I always see the JCM900 and JCM2000 (I think it was) on stage. Recently he also got the JVM410s.
It's a bit surprising that he uses quite different amps. There must be some "magic" he does to always sound more or less the same.

It's probably a mixture of tricks that get him that roughly identical sound. Having off-stage racks will have an impact on sound if Phil used the same ones every time, as well as the type of mics they use on his amps and if there's any tone control settings on the mixers.
