After listening for over 30 years, searching and waiting for alternatives, I understood that there will be no other band like Motörhead. Never.

I play bass (started on guitar 20-something years ago, but switched to bass around 13 years ago, hehehe...). Lemmy was the reason I bought my first bass - 1976 Rickenbacker 4001, which I still own, and is the biggest influence on my playing style and sound. These days, I play a custom made Moser Custom Shop Arachnid Ultra, but my amp is pure Lemmy-inspiration: early 70s Marshall Super Bass heads into Marshall 4x12 and 2x15 cabs (yeah, I know Lem uses 4x15 cabs! wink ).

Cheers!

Wow, this kind of basses is not exactly my cup of tea, but it's a fine piece of art, anyway! Never seen one of those before.

Nice bass mate, real collectors piece there. I remember seeing Ol Drake from Evile with a Moser custom guitar, those Mosers have a deadly sound.

Nope. They're very well balanced. But they're heavy overall, hehehe...

Mine is black with white binding. Here's a picture:

Hello all,i need some advice.I have been playing(trying) getting on a year now and have a cheap starter kit- including a 10 watt Kustom amp.Now i was going to change my guitar to one that i want but have been advised by a bloke in the pub that i shouldn't bother at this stage, and if i wanted to get the metal/rock sound there are plenty of cheap, small amps that are available that will give you a decent sound even without turning it up. I think he said to get a valve amp(not sure though ,i'd been drinking and he lost me on more than once expaining stuff).
With the amp i've got you have to turn it up to get a decent sound-but then its too loud for the neighbours etc.
So is this right, would a better, but still low watt amp give me a better sound or is it not really worth it.

A valve amp will give you a good selectionj of sounds.
IMHO,invest in a Line 6 Pod.
The beauty of such a pedal is it doesn't need volume to duplicate the sound of an amp being driven.

It also has a wide selction fo amp modellers and FX all built in.
