Nice setup @Iron Fist. Even an FL.

And there is no such thing as too many Ric's. ;-)

A small, local, mom & pop guitar shop had the full rig for sale. It was used but looked new. Amp, 4x12, and 4x15 for $3,299.99 plus tax.

I asked kindly if I may try it and told them I certainly couldn't afford it. They were nice and said yes. All I can say is wow.
Freaking LOUD. Loud as in you can feel it in your chest. It was at about 25%. Gave me wood. lol.

BertH, how is the 4x15 performing? Still waiting for your report...

After listening for over 30 years, searching and waiting for alternatives, I understood that there will be no other band like Motörhead. Never.

I took it with me to band practice once and it sounded very good. During band practice I was not able to play it very loud but it had a nice pleasant sound with my Rick 4004L. During a break I dialed in the Lemmy setting from the 1992LEM manual and that is LOUD. I am not able to hear this without hearingprotection (I am somewhat deaf allready from having played too loud in the past) At neighbour friendly levels at home it sounds nice also.

Tuesday I am going to take the MF280L with the 1992LEM to band practice. I am going to decide then which of the 2 cabinets is going with me on our next gig. (They are not going both since it is a festival with not too much time to change gear. It took us some convincing allready to take my own amp and not being DI'd.)

Every time I see the whole stack in our living room it gives me a big smile by the way. smile It is more than a (human) head bigger than I am. And I am 1.83.

Hey BertH! Any chance of you posting a short video of yourself playing it on You Tube? Maybe you could play the bass run at the beginning of 'Boogeyman!'

I once went into a music store and asked how much it would cost to buy the Rickenbacker 4004LK signature model. He looked on his computer and said that the retail price is $8,000. I asked just out of curiousity.

I keep replaying the day I went into a musical instrument shop in Shrewsbury back in 1983 and saw a Rickenbacker 4001 allegedly played by Lemmy - a white one with a Born To Lose sticker on it for the huge asking price of £400. The store owner said he had a letter of authenticity too. I wonder what it would be worth today. I ended up buying an Overkill songbook instead for £3.25 !!!

A lot went wrong at this show (like rain pouring hard over the stage), so do not be too critical please. ;-)
