I really hope it's not for health reasons. Lemmy is very set in his ways. He still drinks alot which you're not supposed to do with diabetes 2. I also got diabetes 2 and the pills I take look the same as Lemmy's. I have kept it pretty much under control though and eat sweets regularly so perhaps Lemmy has his diabetes under control. Diabetes 2, for those who don't know is when you aren't born diabetic but end up getting it as an adult, usually due to lifestyle (eating crappy road food would do it).

He didn't smoke in Toronto last year because of similar laws regarding smoking inside but most of the road crew were smoking as they were tearing the stage down. I recognized many of the crew from videos and documentaries over the years.

Lets not think this is anyway a good thing...
Lemmy is not a young man making a decision to not smoke to be healthy...its got to have been bad news for him to entertain the idea of giving up...
Plus if its true it gives all the anti smoking fuckers another notch on there post...

Well read a thing on mayhem fest in terrorizer today and Lemm has indeed been smoke free for 8 weeks!Well good luck to him and i really hope it was a choice without doctors orders....another one bites the dust....

Well guys... I have a very close girl friend who met Lemmy at Berlin gig and I did see pictures of her on stage, and she just told me that Lemmy quit already almost three months.
She just congratulated him for his deep inner strength ... so seems it is his option.

Well lately, we all heard that Lemmy exercises, then lost some weight then quit smoking. We always knew he was a clever and generous man and know he teaches a lesson in self-preservation and self-esteem and somehow he also makes us feel better as he's keeping himself healthier and in better shape for touring.
I'm very happy for Lem; I'll stop being lazy and make more of my gym membership.
