What are the highlights of this 'fine' recording?

Well for me it is another chance to hear the line up from the first "Golden era"
Lemmy,Eddie and Phil are on fine form, blistering their way through some of the fastest versions I have heard of the "Ace of spades"era songs.
Just as I remember them from the Ace of spades tour, ferocious!!
Part rock n roll,part punk.

All three are attacking every song as though it was the last one they were ever going to play LOL.......
Lemmy's vocals are excellent.

Downer is it is incomplete.

1: Ace of spades
2: Stay Clean
3: Over the top
4: Metropolis
5: Leaving Here
6: The Hammer
7: Jailbait
8: Capricorn
9: Bite The Bullet / The chase is better than the catch

And of course it is a rough and ready recording.
I've looked at the sound files and I can certainly bring the volume up and maybe restore a bit of the tone.

Pure nostalgia I suppose smile

Speaking of fantastic Eddie/Philthy/Lemmy line-up performances, does anyone have a copy of the 1981 port vale gig bootleg?
I lost all my bootlegs a while back and never got this one back, such a fantastic show would love to hear it again

Are you sure about that? Of course it took place a long time ago, therefore i don't really remember the set, but they played in the early afternoon and the set was quite short. If i remember right, they played as fourth band, before 'em we got "More", "Blackfoot" (really great, still remember 'em, around that time they had a minor hit with "good morning") and Iron Maiden. Maybe also "38 Special" played before 'em, but i don't remember that too well...

Wonder if Lemmy knew where he was playing back then? The festival-area was known as "Reichsparteitagsgelände" during the Third Reich, a huge area...

It's incomplete in terms of the set they were doing on the ace of spades tour.
