I'd love to get my hands on one of them... realisticly the price stops me from owning one any time in the near future but it'd be cool to just thrash one out for a few hrs... for now i'll just stick to my cheap pedals and try to mimic the sound...

hey guys. I unearthed this thread thanks to google. I'm curious if anyone knows what make and model speakers go in the 4x12 and 4x15 cabs. I've tried to google it, and I can't find any info anywhere.

Uhm, I own the Amp and the 4x12 cab. When I have time, I'll open the back and have a look. But don't expect a result before the end of this month...

ah, awesome. if you can't take the speaker right out the front, you can take one of the side handles off and read what the back of the driver says. a lot easier than taking the back off. ha. thank you, though.

I'm curious, though...what will keep you busy for a month that won't allow you to take about 10 minutes to check this? I'm looking at replacing the speakers in my bass cab with some guitar speakers, and I'm trying to find out if Lemmy runs guitar speakers in these things.

Im trying to sort out a decent lemm style amp out but obviously a lot cheaper....i used a really old cheap piece of crap the other day and go a pretty fierce tone but alas 2 hours rehersal and it died..........

Is it a guitar head with bass speakers?

no idea about the speakers, but Lemmy's signature amp is basically a modified Marshal Super Bass, which in turn is a slightly modified Marshall Super Lead. personally, I'm using a Carvin X100B for my bass, and I can straight up nail Lemmy's tone when playing through a guitar 4x12 cab. it's beyond nasty, and the heads are SUPER fucking cheap. I bought mine and the pedal for $325 + tax at the local Guitar Center. not to mention they're absolute bomb-proof. these amps will outlive Lemmy. just make sure you're playing it through the right speakers/cabs. to really nail Lemmy's tone, you need 12's, as I've found out.
