i guess that they are a good money spinner. not sure who gets the bags of loot! band or management etc? it's a shame but it does put the band in a bad light i think. it should be a really cool thing but instead it seems like a very expensive rip off.

The reason you keep seeing stuff like this, wine, vodka, overpriced boxsets, etc... is cause of people like us. The marketing money men know that Motorhead have a strong and dedicated fanbase, and will always try and exploit that. It's happening with more and more bands now. I go on an AC/DC forum as well, and you should see the shit Sony are throwing at the fans. Makes motorhead stuff look small fry.

Back in the Ramones day, all they released was simple bootlegs for like £5 and they were really good and raw. Hardly a new t-shirt for £5 too. Same with Motorhead till '86. Now this super-marketing all bands keep bringing top dollar re-packagings and branded useless stuff, I think we buying too much, if we show demand there will always be exploitation. As to Volume 2, I'll wait for the video to go half price or second hand (+- £5) and when I buy I'll rip the audio on to MP3 so I can listen to it in my car. And then of course buy the new album next year.

I bought that shit for the Brixton show. Im flying in from Sweden just to se that gig so i thought i might as well buy the full package. It will probably be worth it as i dont have to queue outside the venue for 12 fuckin ours and freeze my balls off to get front row. I did that last year in december in Stockholm and that sucked. The show was great though and it was totally worth freezing my balls off.

Mate the queue at Brixton is something like 20 minutes and if you work your way through you get to the front row, like we did in 2010 smile

The ticket prices have gone up too recently. I first see the band in 2004 for £19.50, now this years ticket cost me £27.00. I'm not complaining, just saying!

Yeah it did. As I said before, I saw it on a magazine in 2001/2 and it was £18. But also we have to consider that renting venues is also more expensive on these days. Still worth it for Motorhead, always.
