It is. If they allowed filming half the fun would go out of soundcheck.

Remember that none of this is obligatory, so $100 or not, I for one am grateful I legally attended soundcheck (no bribes or anything like that).

I would check out Livenation on facebook who have been saying that 15:30 is soundcheck time and to be at the main entrance for the uk leg dates of the tour

I went to the newcastle one, there were 5 of us. Personally, i'd say it was worth the money, the signed 10x8 pic is decent, the bandana is good quality. I used to go to film conventions and a signed 10x8 from 1 person was minimum 15, sometimes 20 quid. even people selling them without meeting the people who'd signed them charged that.

There was a bit of hanging around for it to start. the 20-30 seconds of very high pitched feedback wasnt fun, wasnt too bothered though. the banter between the band and crew was good, pretty funny at times. i took a mate for his 1st motorhead experience and thought it was great. they played Rosalie in full, and as the sound was good, that was it. I heard Lemmy comment on the quality of the sound and he was happy with it after that one. there was some further discussion on stage that we couldnt hear.

Mikkey came over for a chat for a bit afterwards which was good, and a bit unexpected given what is advertised.

we also got in to the venue at 6 rather than 7 but it was only the bar open (couldnt get the merch early). the pints were cheaper for that hour. I think this sort of thing will be dependent on the venue though

so all in all it was good. the soundcheck was only for motorhead though incase people think it might be for all 3.

it was followed by an awesome gig too. top notch

i did it at the first gig WOLVERHAMPTON and thought that it was worth the money......

MIKKEY was very friendly and came to the front of stage after soundcheck for a chat..........

the hole band signed a couple of items for me.....which was a added bonus for the soundcheck package......

i would do this again just for the soundcheck experience.........

Here's a comment left at Lemmy's Facebook page from a fan who attended the Manchester gig. Kinda self-explanatory:

"I went to the one in Manchester and felt sorta ripped off. Don't get me wrong, it was as cool as fuck to see the stuff nobody usually ever gets to see, and then to speak to Mikkey and Phil for a bit too, and having Lemmy say hi from a bit back.

"But we were only allowed in for 20 mins or something like that. I thought we were going to get to see the full soundcheck, Anthrax and the lot.

Awesome show though"

I'm gonna be attending at Brixton Academy this Saturday (17th), by the way. And yeah, I signed up for this VIP soundcheck package, figuring that at least I'll get something a bit 'extra' than from the other gigs I've attended.

I'm a bit ambivalent about the 'value for money' question going by what I've heard so far, but oh well, whatever happens I'll just chalk it down to experience.

As far as i know, Anthrax also have "VIP"-tickets for the soundcheck and of course they are selling 'em on their own...
