@2 minutes walk it certainly satisfies the stumbling distance part of my requirements. The beer is good, even if it's a plastic chain, so that's tick number 2. Don't imagine we'll get any decent music, but hey 2 out of 3 ain't bad

Mr O'Matic, its ideal half way between tube station and venue, can't miss it, turn right out of station and it's on the right hand side of the road in general direction of the venue. It's not as plastic as you might think, and when i was there 2 years ago for a Motorhead gig it was rammed full of Motorhead fans.
Just bought my Plymouth > Southend rail tickets as i shall be staying with my old mate in Southend for a "boys weekend"
