Motorhead - Complete Early Years (15CD & Vinyl Box Set)

The ultimate Motorhead box set has landed! Motorhead have been prolific over the years and deserve their place amongst the greatest rock and heavy metal bands on the planet. Fans of the legendary outfit need look no further, this box set has it all.

All eight of the early albums are accounted for here ('Motorhead', 'Overkill', 'Bomber', 'Ace of Spades', 'No Sleep 'till Hammersmith', 'Iron Fist', 'Another Perfect Day', and 'No Remorse') and delivered in 5-inch Japanese miniature wallets. Even all of the early singles are to be found ('Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers', 'Louie Louie', 'Golden Years EP', 'St. Valentine's Day Massacre', 'Killed By Death', 'Stand By Your Man', and 'Shine'), and as if that isn't enough, a collector's guide to Motorhead book, a limited edition Justin Hampton Motorhead print, concert programmes, and a collection of badges, all contribute to this unique and unmistakably brilliant collection.

Housed in a Motorhead-style skull, this is the perfect addition to the record collection of fans of the irrepressible metal band and fans of great rock and metal. -J.M.

No way, there's nothing new in that box, not even one new song eg; Black Leather Jacket in the Stone Deaf Forever box set.
For serious collectors only IMO.

The records you mention are not included 'cos it's a Bronze release. On Parole is on EMI/United Artists and Dirty Love, Stone dead forever are Receiver Records. Doubt that Bronze would pay license money for including them, and they wouldn't add any new tracks either... Except for the nice packaging it's just a re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-release!

You might be a financial wizard, with a sack of loot,
But all I see is a slimy lizard, with an expensive suit,
Go ahead and run your corporation, go and kiss some ass,
You can buy half of the nation, but you can't buy class!

You bastards think it's funny, lyin' and thieving all your life,
Think all there is is money, got your future strapped up tight,
Just 'cos you got the power, that don't mean you got the right

This was released at Lemmy's Facebook earlier today:
----------------------------------------------------------

HERE WE GO AGAIN – MOTÖRHEAD FIGHT FOR THEIR FANS

Earlier this year, the following was released:

MOTÖRHEAD, the hardest working, hardest touring band in the world, loves when fans buy their records, but not this time. A new box set, called Complete Early Years Box Set, has just come out by the company who has the rights to the band's early recordings, and they are charging over $600 for it!
-----------------------------------------------------------
At that time, the band was able to temporarily halt the product from coming out, but now Motörhead has learned that the label is moving ahead with the project, which is scheduled for release in December. Motörhead have no control over what's done with these early songs, and they want to make sure fans are completely aware that they have no involvement whatsoever in releasing such an expensive box set.

Says Motörhead’s iconic frontman Lemmy:
“It really bothers me that these people would put this out at these prices especially in this day and age, when money is tight. There you go again labels, trying to squeeze out every last dime you can from our fans.

But they reap what they sow, don’t they? Look what’s going on with the music business. These are fine examples of corporate greed: reissuing the same stuff over and over again, overcharging the customers with outrageous pricing, basically trying to rape our fanbase.

Although we still make money from record sales, this is not the way I ever intended it. I don’t like to see fans getting ripped off or taken advantage of. And that’s what’s happening here.”

If fans do want to gift a loved one with some new Motörhead product this holiday, by all means, please pick up the band’s most recent The Wörld Is Ours - Vol 2 - Anyplace Crazy As Anywhere Else, the follow-up to 2011’s The Wörld Is Ours - Vol 1 - Everywhere Further Than Everyplace Else.

Like it’s sibling, Anyplace Crazy… is packed with more magnificent Motörmaterial from “The Wörld Is Yours” tour, including the triumphant 2011 Wacken headline appearance as well as highlights from the Sonisphere and Rio shows. More than anything, these are new recordings, new releases and compiled with care and attention from the band themselves.

If you want to support Motörhead, then this is the way to do it. And if you do have a hankering for the old material, remember, it is still available piecemeal, and not simply via the outrageously over-priced box set.
