Iron Maiden - Dance Of Death (album)
I struggle with this album sometimes. It's full of some very good songs, but as an album it doesn't always work for me. Strange one.
I think 'Dance Of Death' is great and surprised that a lot of Maidenheads don't seem to rate it all that much. 'Paschendale' is fuckin' epic. Probably my favorite of post 2000's Maiden releases, i prefer it to 'Brave New World'.
As I say Hammer, some great songs on there. Paschendale, No More Lies, Dance of Death (a song I thought was bollocks till I saw it live, then it made total sense. A bit like Fear of The Dark some years earlier), No More Lies, Montsegur, Journeyman, all great songs, it's just that it's not an album that gels for me. It seems more about individual tracks than the whole if that makes sense. A very good listen, but one for as part of a playlist rather than sitting down to the whole album maybe.
