I though that it would be a good idea to have a thread with just news. I don't feel it's necessary to make a whole thread about each news event... If any Mod or Admin feels this is a shitty idea, feel free to delete this thread.

Anyway...

The news for today, or last week actually, is that Motörhead is among the bands signed up for Swedenrock 2009. Heaven and hell is also booked for the same festival held at Norje, Sweden... Check it out at http://www.Swedenrock.com

I don't have a problem with it Juggernaut. My only concern is that good stories might get lost if a lot of people make replies. Then people may end up trawling through lots of posts they've already read, in order to find the start of a news story that they haven't. I also think people tend to react more to specific topics, for example:'Motorhead pull out of Irish tour' that tends to jump out at people more and people may miss the information if it get buried in a thread.

I'm not trying to shoot you down in flames Juggernaut (even if it sounds as though I am) I'm all for a tidier forum with less pointless posts. By all means give it a go it might work out o.k.

The signing session in Gothenburg exceeded the expectations of the store. More than one hour and a half before it started the first fan appeared. When it was show time the queue was stretching form one end to the other, and the store announced that one thing, and one thing only is to be signed so make your pick... When I arrived at the table I put down one large photo and gave Mikkey the extra large photo to be signed. Mikkey thought the photo was bloody cool and before I knew it they band had signed both. I didn't complain. I tried to take some pictures but it wasn't easy and the security guard who probably ate barbed wire for breakfast didn't help out, eventhough I explained it was for imotorhead.com forum and the Motörheabangers world, he hadn't heard of any. If I hand't been such a nice person I would have said that I think he was a bit of a stupid git, but now I don't...

And if we keep this thread quite clean from comments it might work....

Does anyone know if they'll do something similar in Oslo?

It was 'cos Mikkey wanted to give something special to his Hometown... Lemmy wasn't keen about it, but he held a good face, Mikkey was more center of attention actually. He was in a good mood and talking and laughing.
He did actually look at things people gave him to sign, 'cos when he saw my pictures he said it was really cool pix and he made sure that Phil and Lemmy really looked at them, and not just signed them.

Not really worth a topic of it's own...
