Today I was playing Hosen's live album "Bis zum bitteren Ende" after a long time.
The case is that in "Wort zum Sonntag" Campino says something about Lemmy and Johnny Thunders.
I look it up in google translator, but as you know, its translations really sucks.
So I'd love if someone could translate it for me. According to wiki.de, Campino's words are the followings:
"Es wird Zeit, dass Samstags abends die ganzen Priester und Pfarrer endlich mal abhauen und ein paar vernünftige Leute das Wort zum Sonntag sprechen lassen: Lemmy von Motörhead zum Beispiel oder natürlich Johnny Thunders. Das ist unsers!"
Thanks in advance guys!

the basic thing you need to know is that "Wort zum Sonntag" (word for sunday?) is a weekly german tv-programme, runs for 5 minutes and is broadcasted every saturday night. There, mainly priests/popes/vicars talk about (usually) social topics from a religious point of view, a bit like a short sermon.
Now, Campino is asking to replace the churchmen and -women with reasonable/cool people like Lemmy or Johnny Thunders and let them speak the "word for sunday" -that's it, basically...
Hm, in the very same song he says that he'll stay punk "as long as Johnny Thunders is alive" - might give an idea how old the song is, from the Hosens third album i think...
First time i saw the Hosen was in 1984 when they played in a small club in my hometown, and you're right, they changed a lot since then, nowaddays their shows are way to huge for my taste, 'though musicwise i also like some of their later stuff.
But then, i still like the way they're running the band - i think they're as "Independent" as you can be with a band that popular, and they still do shows in their fans living rooms occassionally... so, they're doing a lot of things the right way in my opinion

Totally agree. I think we have spoken this before, but when they come here they play in Buenos Aires of course, but also in small towns where nobody ever plays.
And the tickets are always considerably cheaper than any other "famous" band, local or international band.
So, long live Hosen! Cheers
