Is this a downloaded bootleg or an official one from the show.Just noticed the date so I guess its one you've downloaded

No mate, it's an official double CD. I was at the show Saturday and they were selling them at the merch stall to collect 20 mins after the gig. I didn't bother cause I ordered one online last week in advance of the gig. It turned up today and is well packaged and sounds amazing. Brilliant idea, if only more bands did this.

The Quo downloads are from company called Live Here Now and the cds are £20 but you can download instantly for £10

I like the Black star riders song, Warwick is Lynott-esque i guess, its just good twin guitar and lookin forward to the tour and album too

Yeah that was in about (edit) 2010 if I remember correctly. They were doing selected gigs as I recall, 7 I think, rather than the whole UK leg.

It's definitely a great idea. It's never quite the same listening to a live album, even when I saw the band on that tour, if it was recorded somewhere I wasn't. I have a few official and bootleg recordings of gigs I was at, and I usually enjoy listening to them that little bit more.

AC/DC - Ballbreaker. Not a patch on the late '70's/early 80's stuff, but for me probably the best of the crop since.

Don't break your neck mate. It's got some decent enough songs but there are several things that let the album down badly for me.

The lyrics. I know the lyrics have been ropey ever since Angus and Malcolm took the pen off Brian, but on BI they are atrocious in places

The solos. Too many songs don't even have one, and those that do they sound too restrained. Angus is all about letting rip on the solos and on BI he just never quite does.

The riffs. There is a sad lack of Malcolm's trademark AC/DC riffage here. Too often they resort to those stop/start riffs that are okay every now and the, but are way over used on BI.

The songs themselves. 15 of them is way too many, especially when you could easily take 5 or more away as filler. Also there are a few numbers on here that just don't really sound like AC/DC numbers and, whilst decent enough on their own, just stand out for the wrong reasons on the album.

The title track. May seem petty, but BI is arguably the worst song on the album. it's just a few minutes of nonsense. AC/DC are like Motorhead in that they write really strong /memorable title tracks. I had this issue with The razors Edge, but that made some sense live. BI the song is a dog on the album and is an even bigger one live.

On a plus note, the production is very good (if a little digital sounding) and Brian sounds the best he has for years. For me it isn't their worst album, but it's a very long way from even their best also ran.
