No whinging today, got told at 1230pm to sod off home and we'll pay you the day, so away I went...! an evening of Anthrax tonight, "among the living" and the excellent new LP "Worship music"
Good choices Hammer, the "Mob Rules" was reissued as a 2-cd with a Hammersmith gig from that tour, the live set wipes the floor with the "Live Evil" album from that period. And be nice to see Twisted Sister on a Motorhead support tour wouldn't it!!

I love the albums in Dio's first run with Sabbath, 30 years later, they still stand up and sound competitive. Ronnie gave Sabbath the kick in the arse they desperately needed at the time. Twisted Sister? big fan of the first two albums (Under The Blade, You Can't Stop Rock'n'Roll), not so much 'Stay Hungry', 'We're Not Gonna Take It' etc, was a little too commercial for my liking. Saw 'em down here way back in 1985. They looked ridiculous, but fuck they rocked! Two months after the Sister gig, Iron Maiden were here on the mighty 'World Slavery Tour' and fuckin' tore my head off! 'Rime Of The Ancient Mariner' bought the house down.....

Saw Twisted Sister loads of times from Under the Blade to Come out and play tours. As you said, they were a fucking good live band.Yeah they looked ridiculous but I took it as they were taking the piss out of the proper pretty boy hair metal shit(like mutley poo).Only listen to Under the Blade now, which is one of my favourite all time albums.Be great to see them support Motorhead

nice one mark, Twisted sister were always bloody harder than they looked, i was lucky enoug to have front row on the Come Out & Play 84 Hammersmioth show when Lem came on, and Dee was an intimidating character, 6foot+ and built like brick shithouse. "Shoot em down" is an all-time fave song of mine. Not keen on their Christmas album but they still play so if Anthrax can open for MH then they surely can! Knackered from non-stop snowball fights with kids today LOL another beer will help
