Sad day...Clives' passion for drums was so obvious on those first three Iron Maiden albums. How difficult to have to put it all down due to illness. RIP sir

Sad news. Clive was great on those first 3 albums. The guitar/drum intro to 'The Prisoner' on 'Number Of The Beast', is for me, a real highlight on that album. Clive's drum really kicks you in the balls. It remains one of my fave Maiden tunes. Cheers to Clive Burr.

definitely a standout song, and as you say that drum intro just grabs you. Very sad news indeed.
