Thx for a great gig. But 1 hour play..WTF!?! $102/82 euro for 1 hour gig. 1 hour in heaven but still a rip off! no overkill in the end. Dissapointed. I guess a small town is not that important after all.

Hi dyret, specify more as I'm sure more of us are quite curious about Bergen. How was it? Did the band seem OK? Could they have stopped because of sound, staff, health or any other conditions? Did the support band took too long to leave stage?
Motorhead doesn't really cut short on their gigs unless it's a festival which is awkward for any band anyway.
Cheers.

I wonder what happened in this case since it wasn't a festival show. I'm pretty sure it's not because it's a small town. I think if they knew ahead of time that they might get their set cut short, they would have likely skipped a couple of other songs as Overkill is the grand finally. Some times there are bylaws in each city that are different as to how long they can play into the evening. It could also be that the staff at the venue have to leave at a certain time.I hope everything is well with the band.

Could someone have thrown things onto the stage? Lemmy had a very bad experience when that happened once.

I'm not trying to imply that something like this happened, as I don't know anything about the show.

This is a clip that should be posted once in a while to remind people not to throw things on stage for any band:

Good clip there Vortexx, but fortunately that's not what happened.

The band didn't do a soundcheck for this show. They arrived at the hall around an our and a half before the doors opened. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the many technical problems that layed ahead, but there we're quite some few throughout the show.
Lemmy had soms bass problems, as well as some problems with his ventilator. Tim tried his best to fix it. But it 'only took him five attempts,' as Lemmy joked.

Phil also had some problems. His guitarsound just disappeared completely once or twice. Roger ran around trying to fix it, and he did. But the damage was already done.
Not sure about Mikkey, but it seemed he had some (smaller) issues too.

'Overkill' was on the setlist, but as mentioned before, they didn't play the song. The band got offstage for a while (as they always do). Lemmy introduced the band, and they played Ace of Spades. After that, they left. Not sure why. It wasn't eleven o'clock yet, so it couldn't have been the curfew. Perhaps the band was just fed up after the technical issues they were having on stage.

Nobody threw anything, as far as I know. On the contrary, the audience was actually quite friendly. There was no moshpit or anything like that. Just people standing, singing and some of them were a bit dancing/jumping around. But not a lot of movement in general. I was actually quite surprised, as I'm used to Dutch and German crowds, who like a bit of moshing now and again. In short; I don't know why the band quit early. But I too was disappointed. As someone else pointed out; 84 euro's isn't exactly cheap.

The reason the show was so short is because Norway´s got too many fjords... ;=)

And the only time I haven´t heard OVERKILL was in march 1987 in Copenhagen when Philthy couldn´t play it cos he got a cramp! (the band was onstage and ready but he couldn´t start it...)
And at Reading oct 1987 when the show was stopped cos the crowd threw beer glasses and other missiles at Lemola...
