Gerry Bron, who founded Bronze Records, has died at the age of 79. Not only did Bron help bands like Motorhead, Girlschool and Manfred Mann’s Earth Band enjoy their biggest success while on the label, but before he created Bronze, he was crucially involved in the story of Uriah Heep as producer and manager. Often undervalued, his contribution to the history of rock and metal for over four decades was majorly significant

Sad loss. That's a man who had a good prestigious job, knew the best people of the best era and was surrounded by real quality culture.

He admitted that he only signed Hawkwind because he wanted Motörhead and they had the same manager.
