Hellfest

Welcome to LEMMY LIVES FOREVER where you can continue to celebrate the iconic legend Ian ‘Lemmy’ Kilmister.

On Thursday, June 23rd, 2022, in the first of a series of ceremonies, a portion of Lemmy’s ashes were enshrined in a brand new gigantic memorial sculpture on the grounds of the Hellfest Festival in Clisson, France. Tens of thousands of adoring fans in attendance, Motörhead’s Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee held a ceremony honoring the life, legacy and continuing immortality of Lemmy, raising a glass to his honor and officially unveiling his ashes in the sculpture to represent the first stage of ensuring Lemmy rests ‘on the road’, in the places most important to him around the world and with his family – you, the fans. The ashes in this magnificent sculpture are housed in a miniature version of the custom urn which sits at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Los Angeles, California. Keep an eye out for future ceremonies around the world, and since Lemmy will forever be with you at Hellfest, be sure to post your thoughts, memories and tributes with the hashtag #LemmyLivesAtHellfest when you visit him.
